AIMS is the system used to manage the submission, approval and periodic review of IACUC (animal use) research protocols. Additionally, AIMS manages the purchase and housing of research animals, procedures performed on the animals and the charge backs for the cost of research animal purchase, housing, and research procedures. ARTEMIS is the Biological Sciences Division's central electronic administrative and financial management system for clinical research studies. It supports clinical trial budget development, contract routing, divisional approvals, reporting, and overall financial management.
ARTEMIS is required for submission of clinical research studies with either or both: industry funding and/or sponsorship and a corresponding Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) or protocols that include use of UCM clinical resources (clinical services such as imaging, labs, physician visits) or space. Available through the Office of Clinical Research
